a residency for local artists working with the body, movement and choreography
This year, the residency program focuses on the concept and practice of collaboration, exploring and understanding artistic work as a collaborative practice in a context of mutual ethos: a web of relationships, mutual explorations, discussions, negotiations and challenges.
We are also interested in understanding the scale, needs and possibilities of a potential project as it is shaped and dynamically developed through collaborations.

The residency is open to proposals that have/will have any type of collaborator (eg with a dancer, a choreographer, a dramaturg, a sound designer, an institution etc).
The project can focus on expanded choreographies and work on any type of performance as well as artistic formats other than performances (eg workshop).
Schedule:
The residency is divided into 3 stages. Participation is mandatory for all stages.
Α. Beginning of September (between 1 and 3.9, exact time and date will be decided with selected artists):

Dramaturgy As a Collaborative Praxis: Workshop with Christos Polymenakos
Exploring key notions of dramaturgy as a praxis of collaboration creating, establishing and challenging connections via body/word Performance Writing.
This intensive workshop invites professionals of different disciplines to collectively explore artistic creation and research as collaboration. Acknowledging perspectives of group labor, critical positioning, sharing, connecting and exchanging as inherent processes of dramaturgy, we will practically examine the different dramaturgical roles performed by those involved in a work of art.
Ideal for already existing groups of collaborators, this workshop is also open to individual professionals from any field willing to constitute a temporal team.

Please note that applications in other forms will not be accepted. The selection committee will be comprised of Petros Konnaris (Artistic Director of L-DH, Performance Artist) and Christos Polymenakos (Creator, Researcher, Educator). Results will be sent to all applicants by the 20th of July.
