BALLET CLASS
FOR CONTEMPORARY DANCERS AND MOVERS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS

The class aims at revisiting ballet from a contemporary dancer’s perspective, emphasising an anatomical understanding of movement and imagery.
The class adheres to a traditional structure, including warm-up, barre exercises, centre work, and cool-down. It features simple yet repetitive movements, allowing a deeper understanding of the body’s organisation and the emergence of new sensations.

Throughout the five-class series, we will explore the following concepts during each session:
•    Grounding
•    Oppositions and Spirals
•    Dynamics and Fluidity
•    Moving through Space
•    Presence: ‘State of Dance’
