  1. Seminar for educators, students and dance teachers | 18 April, 9:00, Dance House Lefkosia
The aim of the seminar is to offer participants an experiential approach to the “root system” of mushrooms—the mycelial network (mycelium)—through the synergy of visual arts and dance. Through interactive activities, emphasis is placed on the process of bodily connection and collaborative creation, in an effort to understand and interpret this important natural network. At the same time, the seminar aims to highlight ways in which the principles of the mycelial network can be applied and extended to everyday life and the broader social context.
With Elena Panayiotou and Zoe Giorgalli
Duration: 2 hours
The seminar will be conducted in Greek and participation is free of charge.
Intended for educators of all levels, dance teachers, and students who wish to enrich their practice and explore creative tools related to ecology and/or dance.

  1. Green Steps Performance | 26 April, 10:00, Athalassa Park
Green Steps is a site-specific dance and live music performance for families with children aged 5-11 years old. Inspired by the “Wood Wide Web,” the performance invites audiences of all ages to discover how nature is full of connections. Beneath the ground, plants and trees are linked by a hidden network of fungi and roots, sharing water, nutrients, and even messages to help each other grow and flourish.
Green Steps brings this secret world to life. Dancers and musicians explore how plants “talk” to one another and work together in surprising ways. What might this invisible dance look like under our feet? Taking inspiration from the rhythms and patterns of the forest, the performance encourages children and adults alike to think about how we are connected—to each other and to the natural world. We invite you on an imaginative journey that sparks curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world around us.
