Improvisation meetings

Improvisation meetings

The community of improvisation and open practice says goodbye to 2023 with a series of meetings in the month of December, in the welcoming space of the Dance House Lefkosia. 2023, a year full of upheavals, changes and conflicts, both locally and in the wider social and political space, gave us the opportunity to reflect, introspect, exchange but also welcoming new members to our group!

The improvisation meetings at DHL are open to all dancers, choreographers, musicians, actors and other performing and visual arts artists who wish to experiment, test and share their practice in the frame of improvisation.

The initiative started from the need to create a meeting and artistic osmosis platform with a collective character and an environment for the exchange of experiences and ideas, where we all, as equal members of the group, co-decide the way of work and research, the topic and the way that each one wishes to participate (movement, voice, text, composition, drawing, observation, recording etc.)
We hope that the New year will be fruitful and find us united as a community, in solidarity and cooperation.

December 2023 meetings will take place on Wednesdays 13/12 & 20/12 at 9:00-11:30.
Participation is free.
