Move Together, creative movement workshops for children and their parents

As part of the More than Dancing program, Dance House Lefkosia hosts a series of creative movement workshops for families with children. The workshops named Move Together invite parents and children to dance, experiment with their senses and discover how we form relationships through movement. The environment created promotes interactive play, creative thinking, and teamwork, with curiosity and imagination leading the activities.

Move Together workshops are facilitated by dance educator Zoe Georgalli on a monthly basis. Participants’ experiences and input will function as the foundation for research into how we can improve dance events for families and children. Workshops will also serve as a research and development stage for the creation of an interactive choreographic performance which will premiere in December 2023.

Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothes they can move in.

10:00-13:00, workshop for dance teachers

-28th of May

10:30 – 11:15, families with children aged 2 – 3.

15:00 – 16:15, families with children aged 4 – 9.

-10th of June

10:30 – 11:15, families with children aged 2 – 3.

15:00 – 16:15, families with children aged 4 – 9.

Entrance fee:
10 euros: 1 child with 1 parent/guardian
15 euros: Families with 3 or more participating members

Α few words for the new residency program at DH Lefkosia, More than Dancing:

More than Dancing is a new residency program organized by Dance House Lefkosia that focuses on events for non-artistic audiences through regular meetings from February to December 2023. Our aim is the inclusion of people interested in artistic engagement but have not had any interaction with dance or the Dance House yet.
