Poetics of Dance Encounters:
A research programme by Dance House Lefkosia

We would like to invite you to the second event of Poetics of Dance Encounters at Dancehouse Lefkosia on Sunday 11th June 2023 between 10am – 1pm for a gathering and discussion to delve into matters and material pertaining to the ways themes, ideas and practice in dance and performance come together.

The event offers a shared breakfast experience in the garden of the Dancehouse, where we will collectively compose our breakfast and share thoughts and respond to a set of questions through a Sunday morning ritual!

We will begin at 10am with making our breakfast together and then we will playfully engage in a game of question and answer, in which you will be invited to respond in a variety of ways: embodied, poetic, verbal, kinesthetic or visual.
Poetics of Dance Encounters is a research programme that explores the ways in which dance and performance practices have arrived and grown on the island, how they have been defined and how they are and will be further transmitted.
