Dance House Lefkosia is accepting applications for the new position of Communication Officer for the organization’s team. Position information:
- 10-month period, March-December 2026 (Freelance)
- 18 hours per week (flexible hours with possibility to work remotely, weekly check-ins every Monday 8:00-14:00 at DH)
- Total amount:10,000 euros (paid in 10 monthly installments)
Responsibilities:
- Develop (new) communication strategies for Dance House Lefkosia’s artistic programs and venue hire in collaboration with the artistic director and the cultural officer
- Manage social media accounts including developing content, planning, posting, monitoring community engagements and performance metrics (in collaboration with the cultural officer)
- Manage monthly newsletter and website updates (in collaboration with the cultural officer)
- Assist in the communication strategy for potential sponsors
- Assist in the planning, implementation and monitoring of Dance House Lefkosia’s projects
Dance House Communication goals:
- Build awareness of Dance House Lefkosia’s programs and mission
- Strengthening our presence nationally and internationally
- Reach new audience
- Gain more followers
- More venue hires (independent performances, rehearsals, workshops and other events)
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Communications, Media, Marketing or in a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Communication, Media, Marketing or in a related position
- Excellent communication skills including high quality written communication
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language
- Experience in managing social media platforms
- Strong organizational skills, particularly knowing how to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of WordPress and Mailchimp
- Knowledge of graphic design, video and sound editing
- Experience within the fields of arts/dance will be considered an additional qualification
